I am a student of our university, who often spend my spare time in our library. Generally speaking, our library provides quite good service. However, I still have some suggestions for you to upgrade the quality of your service.
To begin with, I would like you to prolong the open time. In the daytime, most students are having classes. To continue, some books are too old/ are out of date. It would be better if you could replace them with updated materials.
I sincerely hope to have a comfortable library. And I would be highly grateful if you could take my suggestions into consideration.

Firstly, you'd better arrange an inquiry desk at the circulation hall so that students could go through the procedures more efficiently. Secondly, the light in some corner is not so bright that we cannot look through books conveniently. Lastly, the amount of books can hardly meet our demands. So, I suggest our library will be able to make efforts to collect more popular and famous books. Besides,some outdated journal should be updated in time so as to bring new fresh air to us.
Thank you for taking time reading this letter and I hope you will find the proposals practical. Your prompt attention to my advice would be highly appreciated.

1 Before entering the library, shoes should be taken off and put on the rack outside.
2 Silence must be kept in the library, anyone violating that rule will be advised to leave. .
3 Playing in the library is not allowed.
4 Food and drink are not allowed in the library.

6 School bags and books not belonging to the library are not allowed inside the library. Personal belongings can be put on the school bag shelf in the library.
7 Doing homework in the library is not allowed. All stationery, with the exception of those needed for information collection, should not be brought into the library.
8 Unless under very special circumstances, borrowing someone else's library card is not allowed. Loss of library card should be reported to the library teacher and application should be made for replacement.
9 Books are to be returned on time. Late returns entail being fined.
10 Loss of or damages done to the resources of the library are to be paid for in full.

Dear David,
Last week we held a discussion on what we should do for our school before we graduate. The students in our class have different suggestions.
Some students think that we can collect money to buy some books for the school library or something else for the school. Other students think that it’s not necessary to spend money. We can study hard and make our school feel proud of us.
In my opinion, we don’t have to spend money. We can do something meaningful without money. For example, we can do some voluntary work to beautify the school’s environment or try to get better results in the coming exams so that our school will be proud of us.
(In my opinion, we can collect our pocket money to buy some books for our school library. We can buy some detective stories and English novels. They don’t cost much but they are useful. The younger students will like them. I hope every student in our school can do so. )
